Kanrikogaku Kenkyusho, Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan, Chairman: Tomoharu Sekine) has achieved the status of Series 60 Competence Center in the Series 60 Product Creation Community for the mobile phone platform development.

By obtaining this status, Kanrikogaku Kenkyusho, Ltd., abbreviated as K3, magnifies its services by providing the development abilities and the expert skills related to the Series 60 Platform for the terminal development projects of the mobile phone manufacturers adapting the Series 60 Platform. Concretely, K3 strengths its business in order to offer the technical support for the terminal development projects over all, including the planning, the upper process design shifting to the design and the development phase, the development and the verification. Moreover, K3 offers the expert skills that cover the whole project, from the layer close to hardware to the top application and user interface layer.

■Series 60
Series 60, licensed by Nokia, is the leading smartphone platform build on the Symbian OS. The current Series 60 licensees include LG Electronics, Lenovo, Nokia, Panasonic, Samsung and Siemens. Moreover, to accelerate bringing a Series 60 terminal to market, Series 60 Product Creation Community was created with expert partners.

■Series 60 Competence Center
K3 had been joining the Series 60 Product Creation Community as the Series 60 Contractors. Since a number of development results were appreciated, K3 now joins the Series 60 Competence Center, which is the higher level in the Series 60 Product Creation Community. In order to become a Series 60 Competence Center, it is necessary to have deep and detailed understanding in the Series 60 Platform as well as the development results in a wide range of fields. Today, only 9 companies achieved this Series 60 Competence Center status all over the world, and K3 is the very first Japanese company acquired this status.

Founded in January 1967. Headquarters is located in Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan with 5 domestic offices. Total 116 employees.
Established as the independent software manufacturer at the dawn of the domestic software market. Developing and selling various software products having high support from users such as Japanese Word Processor "Matsu" and Japanese RDBMS for Windows OS "Kiri".
From 1995, started cooperating with the Psion Software Ltd. that is the antecedent of Symbian Ltd. on internationalization and Japanisation for thier OS running on mobile phone and PDA.
